“Big Girls Don’t Cry” is the fourth single from Fergie’s solo album, The Dutchess. She performed the song in her Sessions@AOL and on American Idol. She later peformed the song at Concert For Diana and Live Earth. After ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ was recorded, Fergie and her management felt that the song did not fit the theme of her album and were considering not including it on the album or selling the song to another artist. However, at the last minute, Fergie had a change of heart and felt that her album was missing something with more depth on it. Big Girls Don’t Cry was never intended on being a single, but has actually ended up being one of the biggest ballads of the year.
