It was announced as the second single on March 8, 2007 in an interview at Kiss FM.Billboard describes the song as “a power ballad with a piano and synth introduction”. The song was released in Japan on June 20, 2007, coupled with the track “Girlfriend” (Japanese version). Avril Lavigne performed the song on June 15, 2007 on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Lavigne has said the song “is about being with someone you love, and you have to say goodbye, and all the little things you miss about them”.
